This is a family run and operated business. Located in the Parsons
Section of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Alice Baran, owner works very closely
with husband John to deliver a unique service to the Wyoming Valley. Starting in business in September 2002 the shoppe is the only provider
of fine loose teas in the immediate area.
We pride ourselves in handling any tea product that our customers
request from us. If we don't have it in the store we will do our
best to get it for you.
Some
of our house blends include teas that have been named for our grandchildren
and one for our grandniece. Tracey's Lazy Lavender Leaf, Laura's
Luscious Blend, Celia's Relaxing Tea, Sarah's Beary Tea, J.P.'s
Big Boy Brew and Roseabella x 2. These are delicious tasting and
add a charm to the tea selections.
Currently,
we carry 90 varieties of loose
tea including white, green, oolong, black and rooibos. All tea
is sold by the ounce and packed in tea bags which carry the proper
instructions for brewing your tea. To accompany the tea we have
an extensive selection of teapots. You can let your imagination
run away with you when it comes to teapots. Japanese pots with matching
cups, ceramic pots with warmers, to fine porcelain pots, brushed
stainless steel and tea presses. Going to a tea shower? We carry
an exclusive collection of fine porcelain teacups and 'tea for one'.
Our
catered tea parties are the ultimate in entertaining. You as the
hostess do NOTHING! We provide every item that you will need for
a proper tea, from the china to the tea to the delicate sandwiches
and sweets. This is the fastest growing idea in elegant entertaining.
